Historical works occupy a special position in my work. It all started with my desire to describe the history of my grandfather’s adventures in his childhood. Events take place in the eighties of the nineteenth century (1880s). Young Leo was just ten years old when he set off across The Crimea in search of his mother. On his way, he encounters all sorts of people of across every strata of social status and national origin in the heyday of the Russian Empire.
